To all parents and spectators:
New York State has a thunder and lightning safety rule...if you are watching a game or a practice and the coaches hear thunder and/or see lightning, ALL spectators and players are required to leave the field and go to the nearest building for a full thirty minutes after the last sound of thunder or bolt of lightning.
